Top : Articles : Gel Toothpaste About Gel in Toothpaste
The gel contains surfactant to enhance cleaning. On brushing the gel comes in contact with water and air and forms a thick foam which contains microbubbles. These bubbles have a hollow bit in the middle and a thin layer of liquid on the outside. This layer of liquid is not completely transparent but stops some of the light coming through. The foam thus acts as a mirror and appears to be white in colour because they are just reflecting the light. (Added/Updated: 14-Jul-2007 Rating: 0 Votes: 0) Rate This
