Can't remember if an egg is fresh or hard boiled? Just spin the egg. If it wobbles, it must be raw. If it spins easily, its hard boiled. A fresh egg will always sink in water, a stale will float. Eggs contains all the essential proteins, minerals and vitamins except vitamin C. Egg yolks are among the few foods that naturally contains vitamin D. White-shelled eggs are produced by the hens with white feathers and white earlobes. Brown-shelled eggs are produced by hens with red feathers and red earlobes. Brown-shelled eggs layers are larger and require more food. China produces most number of eggs in the world – about 160 billion per year. A hen can lay about 250 eggs per year.
